This movie Green Hornet (2011) I was quite afraid of not meeting my high standard of expectation. xD Because I know it has Jay Chou in it and thinking it's a chinese film. I was wrong. So wrong. And it did meet up to my expectations!

Green Hornet 2011 Sypnosis
Britt Reid (Seth Rogen) is the son of Los Angeles's most prominent and respected media magnate and perfectly happy to maintain a directionless existence on the party scene- until his father (Tom Wilkinson) mysteriously dies, leaving Britt his vast media empire. Striking an unlikely friendship with one of his father's more industrious and inventive employees, Kato (Jay Chou), they see their chance to do something meaningful for the first time in their lives; fight crime. To get close to the criminals, they come up with the perfect cover: they'll pose as criminals themselves.

Protecting the law by breaking it, Britt becomes the vigilante The Green Hornet as he and Kato hit the streets. Using all ingenuity and skill, Kato builds the ultimate advanced retro weaponry, The Black Beauty- an indestructible car equal parts firepower and horsepower. Rolling in a mobile fortress on wheels and striking the bad guys with Kato's clever gadgets, the Green Hornet and Kato quickly start making a name for themselves, and with the help of Britt's new secretary, Lenore Case (Cameron Diaz), they begin hunting down the man who controls LA's gritty underworld: Benjamin Chudnofsky (Christoph Waltz). But Chudnofsky has plans of his own: to swat down The Green Hornet once and for all.

Del Says...
This movie was nothing like I expected. I mean, I thought it was a chinese film with Jay Chou starring in it and so....you know. xD Not saying I don't like chinese movies, don't get me wrong. I watch them too but Jay Chou? You know. I was wrong. It was both of them, Jay Chou and Seth Rogen. This movie from Sony Pictures is all about action, danger and comedy at the same time. It gets funnier with Jay Chou's expressionless face most of the time. xD

There were car chasing, explosions, nuclear bombs, machine guns, awesome gadgets, cool cars to be awed at and this love triangle with Cameron Diaz. Kung fu? A little but it wasn't really with the snake style or what. Just some street fighting with a bit of kung fu. Don't expect much if you're looking for a kung fu film here, the way they fight has a lot of matrix effect there. xD

This movie is also focuses on how a newspaper company works. Like, how politically involved they can be and how they influence readers's view of certain things happening around them. It's a good movie and I recommend you to watch it. =)

I feel like this movie is a more realistic of what superhero really is. It's impossible for a human to fly, shoot cobwebs, have laser shooting out from their fingertips or even have an x-ray vision. Green Hornet however, is about human trying to fight crime by using modern gadgets and modifying cars- with a little bit of street fighting, though it seemed a little bit too overly awesome for me.
