Review: The Chocolate Lovers' Club by Carole Matthews
review the chocolate lovers' club by carole matthews

The Chocolate Lovers' Club is a book written by Carole Matthews. I took it because of the pretty book cover and the synopsis itself- involving chocolates! Now who doesn't love chocolate? =) I got it from the Library KK.

Synopsis of Chocolate Lovers' Club

The Chocolate Lovers’ Club brings together four very different women with one thing in common: they can't resist chocolate. This is an irresistible novel for anyone who wishes they were a member! Lucy Lombard can't resist it - rich, creamy, sweet, delicious chocolate. For her there's nothing it won't cure - from heartache to a headache - and she's not alone. Sharing her passion are three other addicts: Autumn, Nadia and Chantal. Together they form The Chocolate Lovers' Club. They meet in their sanctuary, Chocolate Heaven, as often as they can, and with a cheating boyfriend who promises he'll change, a flirtatious boss, a gambling husband and a loveless marriage, there's always plenty to discuss!

Del Says...

This book is full of surprises. Really, I never see that coming, just like Everything's Eventual (2002) by Stephen King. Delightful and just womanly. It's like Carole knows us women and knows about chocolate addictions very well- she studied chocolates just to write this book! =) Her knowledge of such varieties and passion for chocolate details were portrayed in this book via her four stars- Lucy, Autumn, Nadia and Chantal. This book made me ate 2 big bars of Vouchelle's! xD Friendship is also the center of the book, going through tough times together and how such strangers can instantly be your best friend.

Who'll Love This?

Anybody who's addicted to chocolates, love chocolates, loves a romantic-action-like story and most probably will be appealing to those between 20's-35's. I love the never-ending fun these four friends have!

I have another author to put in my favourite list !

Others Comments...

This is one of the best chick-lit books I've read for some time, with an interesting mix of characters and believable situations. It's both touching and funny, and is highly recommended!
The Book Club Forum
What a rich and satisfying novel about love, life and friendship, and, of course, chocolate. With one of the best breakup revenge scenes I've ever gleefully read!
