MyKad and Driving Licence as One???

Okay first of all for those who don't know, Mykad is Malaysia's Identification Card. On May 22nd 2009, Road Transport Department(RTD) director-general Datuk Solah Mat Hassan said drivers could present such Mykads that has their driving licence details in it (by downloading it) to police or RTD enforcement officers doing road blocks if they have forgotten to bring their licences.

Wow! This is sooooooooo handy! Thank you Datuk Solah!!!

Those who wish to get this tech can simply go to the National Registration Department Offices. Well for Kota Kinabalu, I think it's the big building where I got my IC registered again yang on the way to 1 Borneo. The Police or RTD teams when they are doing any road blocks are equipped with at least one Mobile Card Acceptance Device(MCad) to read the Mykad.

The state-level Gawai Dayak Celebration Cancelled

"State Urban Development and Tourism Minister Datuk Michael Manyin said the federal government had allocated RM650,000 to hold the festival."

He said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak would be there! Wow! Cool, I too wana be there, but I can't. =(

The state-level celebration has been cancelled for this year out of respect for the chief minister's wife, Datuk Amar Laila Taib, who passed away last month. Al-fatihah.

On June 1, about 1.5 million people of the Dayak community in Sarawak will celebrate the Gawai Dayak festival! Wow! That's a lot of people! I wonder how they celebrate it..

Poor Ex-President Jumped Off

Oh, my, god! Oh my god! Poor Mr. Roh Moo-Hyun, former president of Korea jumped off in the mountains while hiking! Geez, why did he do that?? I guess shame is worse than death for the late Mr Roh.

Hey, here's a lil about him. His father was a farmer and never attended college and managed to pass the bar exam in 1975 by studying law. Wow! And yes, as you expected, he became a lawyer defending students accused of sedition under South Korea’s previous military-backed administrations.

Hafiz Welcomed Home Like a Star!

Our dear Hafiz, who won the AF, landed home at 9am today! Assistant Minister of Youth, Hamden Ahmad was there too! Wow...mebe not that WOW la, just the assistant what. But still, that means Hafiz got their attention! =3

"Never in Sarawak entertainment history an artiste winning any competition at National level accorded to such a VVIP welcome, observed Saiee Driss, a veteran broadcast journalist cum social activist."

Wow, this statement is a major achievement! Never knew that also... =P

" ”Hafiz itu produk AF, Safar Ghafar produk Bintang RTM. Di bawah Bintang RTM sejak tahun 60-an ada banyak juara dari Sarawak, seperti Rigayah Bushrah, Sarbanun Marikan dan lain-lain……,” he commented."

Yeah true2, AF is a pretty big thing, includes Brunei also, so it's bigger thing than RTM I think. Besides, he got number one man! =) Congrats Hafiz!

Olde Station now opens in Damai, Luyang!

I was so excited when my friend told me about it opening just below our academy few weeks ago. They have renovated the place again of course, i just hope this one business will stay long, not like Pizza Ria nor South Rock Cafe, who, I think, stayed for 2-3 months only. Pity huh? I saw those two didn't have any customers, don't know why. Maybe because I don't know how is the food and it's new for me. But with Olde Station, I think it will stay long because I myself was so pumped on going there and be one of the first customers. =)

So last week when it opened (I think I went on the second day of its opening, which was on Saturday), I and my colleagues went there to eat! I wanted to try something new, other than the Fried Mee Hoon with Chicken Curry (I swear I never ate anything else but this!) again and again! So I went to Mee Rebus. BUT to my disappointment, I got a yellow mee (mi kuning) with some sweet and sour sauce with "cucur udang" as they call it, which was reaaaaaaaallly NOT UDANG-like and it tasted more like flour rather than prawns to me and half of a boiled egg. And it cost me RM9.5 (Just a la carte, not the one with free drink ya). Geez!!! I'll ever order that again! And worse, it wasn't ANYTHING like what it looked in the menu, which looked sooo nice with the meehoon and soup with real-like fried cucur udangs and half boiled egg and some decoration of the greens. I wanted something healthy! And that wasn't even HEALTHY! Didn't wana go all bitchy and go berserk, cuz that was 1st trip there, so didn't wana spoil it. And the waitresses greeted us, so you all are forgiven.

But my friends orderd real good stuff like the Asam Laksa, the Wantan with the Sesame Seeds (Chow Chung..something =P) and the Chicken Curry! OMG that was reaaaaaalllly nice! The best of all for me! But as we all know, the most delicious food is the worst, so I thnk I'll get it once in a blue moon. =) I don't eat curries as much too.

The atmosphere there was okay, all black setting as usual, with the classic traditional round tables and chairs and there were only seats for 4, not 5 or more, which is not really practical, what if there's more people? Combine the round tables together? Maybe. And there's these area of air conditioned and Open air (nearer to the entrance than the one with the AC). So I'm perfectly okay with that! Reall 10/10 for you on that!

Oh my god I forgot about the popia! It costs RM2.7 (not including tax, I think it will be RM3+ la). SOooo nice! It had sengkuang (not much of it, the one at Palm Square is more 300%), peanuts and..thats all I could taste, don't know if there's anything else, but it's still nice! 7/10 for that! =) there's Roti Kahwin too! RM2.20 only (again, not including tax).

I googled about this restaurant but found nothing! So it's not a chain restaurant?? Or maybe it is but doesn't have any website? =Z

Elianto and Sera -Buy one FREE one!

shopping elianto sera sale 1 b kota kinabalu sabah

Elianto had sale on the eyeshadows! Buy one and you'll get one FREE! I took the Blushing Pink, Black Chocolate and Almond (Black Chocolate and Almond are nice to use for shading too!) and the salesgirl told me about the promotion, so I took another one, which was the Salmon, a very orang-ey colour, and I like bold, pigmented colours as you can actually SEE the colours. Oh and I went to the Centre Point's branch by the way, not sure if it's on all the branches or not la. Each is M5 only, so I bought 3 (RM15) and got 1 free!

Sera, a cosmetic shop selling make up and skin care from..I think Korea, cus the skinc are they use are all on Korean writings. Eyeshadows (the ones I bought)..Iare from Korea too, but I don't know about other brands la. It's at the Lower Ground floor of One Borneo. It's just a mobile stall (middle of the shops), just right in front of Pizza Hut.

Sera too, had a really golden promotion last April! The eyeshadows were on buy one free one too, RM5 each, same like Elianto's. And best of all, the make up's were all on sale 50%!! It really sticks and blending is an ease! The texture, everything is more or less the same with Elianto's. I pefer Sera's as the colours are all bold and real cathy! Don't you think so?

Just imagine the blushers (n/p: RM20) were on for RM10 only! The blushers I bought Eygpt Queen Blushers Series in 08 and 10. 10 is more to almond colour and the 08 is more to peachy-like. Nicely pigmented, the colours will look natural on my skin. =)

These are eyeliners! The white one is Sera Contour Kajal Soft Precision Eye Pencil in Frozen Chestnut, next to it is Sera Contour Kajal Soft Precision Eye Pencil in Marron Clace, beside it is Davis Accent in 051, and lastly Davis Accent in 001. I'll review them in the future. These are RM9.90 each, on sale for RM4.95 (50% discount, remember?).

shopping elianto sera sale 1 b kota kinabalu sabah
Lastly are these two sweet things! I got Qianyu Lip Gloss in 10(description:"fashionista color-matching for a make-up artist to be in Fashion Tokyo, New York, Paris." What??) for buying over RM60 and it's worth RM13 only. I bought this beautiful glitter for Rm6.90. No less for this type.

I also have this card where it's like Skin Food and Yogur-berry's, where we get a stamp for each RM20 we pay and there's gift waiting at each course. =) Nice huh? Oh and it lasts for a year only.

Another thing I wana show you is this bag I get! I get to buy make up or skin care next time and no need of plastics anymore! Yay! =)
