Skin Care: One-Ingredient DIY Facial Masks
♥ Honey

Use a cloth damp with warm water and pat skin to open the pores. Smear honey onto the skin and leave it for 15 to 30 minutes. Rinse it off with warm water but then pat your skin dry with cold water to close the pores. Very easy! Honey has antibacterial properties as well as hydrating too!
♥ Raw egg yolk

Spread a raw egg yolk on face and neck, leave it for 30 minutes. Rinse with cool water. Note the
cool word, not icy cold aa. =)
♥ Raw egg white

Beat the egg white until frothy and spread on your face. Wait until it dries and don't move your facial muscles if possible. Rinse off with warm water. Cold water won't remove it thoroughly and you'll still feel sticky afterwards.
This is very good for those of you who has open pores and blackheads. I suggest you scrub and steam your face first before this so that your pores will be open and the egg white mask can stick to the dirt on your face. =)
♥ Oranges, grapes, lemons and even strawberries

Simply cut any of these fruits and rub gently all over your face. It's that easy! Other than these fruits, think of something citrus-ey and not so acidic to the face.
♥ Banana

Mash one overripe banana and spread onto the face. Rinse off after 15-30 minutes with warm water.
♥ Yogurt

My favorite ingredient of all. Not only it is good to be digested, it is also beneficial to our skin if applied externally! Apply on face after cleansing and leave on for 15-20 minutes.
I suggest you put any fruits or yogurt in the fridge before you use it. Cold will make tighten up your face, cool it down and if applied under eyes, can make the dark circles go away! =) You can also blend the fruits or anything together to make it really slimy and thick, all in one mask. =) If there's any extra, you can always eat it. xD

Waaaa..why not share with us here the recipe la Mrs Mikko. xD
ReplyDeletei love using egg white for removing blackheads. but my method is slightly different than yours la. usually after using egg white, i mashed some tomatoes and make it as a mask. it moisturise the skin after peeling off the blackheads. home remedies are best. easy, simple and much more cheaper.
