17 Year Old SPM Student Suicide in Front of Classmates
Unbelievable. I thought suicides have gone lesser and lesser and thought that maybe, since the new millenium came to us, it's long gone already for people become more religious and more....rasional I guess. I was wrong. And sadly it's one of the Malaysians. The Star Online reported.

This happened in Malacca today- Tuesday 8 February 2011 at SMK Seri Kota in Ayer Leleh where she abruptly let herself fall from the third floor this morning.

The Story
Sally Lee Qian Chun, a Form 5A student walked out of a lesson in the Chemistry lab on the second floor then went up to the third floor, where her classroom was. Witnesses, whom I think were her classmates that had finished the lesson earlier, was shocked to see her "sitting precariously on the corridor's ledge" facing the empty classroom.

She then fell backwards after facing the classroom. It was about 9.15am and she died from fatal head injuries. Oh gosh wonder how the students there will cope with this. Imagine the ground floor where people are the most.

Lee Is...
Lee, the eldest of three siblings, was described by her teachers as "a bright and well-behaved student". One relative of hers spoke at the Malacca Hospital mortuary that Lee seemed fine and happy when she saw her a day earlier. Yesterday I think.

Facebook Warnings
Turns out that Lee had posted several disturbing posts on her Facebook profile since 15 January 2011, saying that she would celebrate her last Chinese New Year.

Friday last week, 4 Feb, she posted that she had planned to take her life last month- January.

On Sunday night, Sally wrote stuff about a failed relationship (oh no not another love suicide) and broken promises while kept on saying her desire to take her life.

Sadly, and as immature as her other friends who I think mostly are just about the same age, she got taunts and dares from her friends, telling her to go ahead and kill herself.

Her last post, Monday 7 Feb (yesterday), she reminded her friends to keep their promises of buying her a teddy-bear and a coffin and also not to miss her when she's gone and take care of themselves.

Melaka Tengah OCPD ACP Salehhudin Abd Rahman confirmed the incident, classified the case as sudden death. It sure was. Although foul play is ruled out due to the eye witnesses's statements to the police, a post mortem will still be carried out.

Can't imagine how her family's feeling right now. My condolences to her family and friends.

It's crazy how crazy people can get for love, especially suicide resorts. It's just crazy to take your own life for a low-life, good for nothing jerk. Why take your own life for something that is worthless?? It's just crazy. D*mn crazy. Totally irrelevant.

Shine on,
Del

  3. She did say something about a broken relationship, but I don't know why it's hard to believe that's the sole reason she took her life. There must be something more just than that, which, supposedly, only in God's infinite knowledge. No one know why she took her life. People are seeking love all their lives, but never bother to seek the love that conquered the grave. I'm a christian, mind you :)

Sorry, this comes from a total stranger. I was initially searching for "how to open a savings bank account" and your blog link magically showed up. Have a nice day :)
