"Datu" Means...
Following the fraud "Datu" titles for sale to Malaysians, I asked myself- what is "Datu"? Is it something like "Datuk", "Sir" or something?

"Datu" Means...
“Datu” is the title for tribal chief and monarchs in the Philippines and should not be mistaken for the Datuk or Dato’ titles conferred by the King and Sultans in Malaysia.

So it's something like Ketua Kampung or district officers (pegawai daerah). So just imagine people paid RM100,000 to RM300,000 just for this title. Wonder how much "Datuk" titles are sold then...

Shine on,
Del
