About Chinese New Year Eve Open Market 2011

Locals and visitors alike will flock to this annual open market held on Jalan Tun Fuad Stephens, Kota Kinabalu in final preparation for the Chinese New Year. From 1:00pm on February 1 to 1:00pm the following day, the entire stretch from the Handicraft Market up to the roundabout at the Hyatt Regency Kinabalu will be closed off to traffic and transformed into a shopping avenue with over 200 stalls! The open market will be launched by Datuk Iliyas Ibrahim, the Kota Kinabalu City Mayor.
