BIMP-EAGA 2011- The Food Basket For ASEAN and The Rest of Asia

About BIMP-EAGA- The Food Basket For ASEAN and The Rest of Asia
BIMP-EAGA : EAGA comprises the entire sultanate of Brunei Darussalam; 14 provinces in the Indonesia islands of Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku and Papua; the states of Sabah, Sarawak and the Federal Territory of Labuan in Malaysia; and the islands of Mindanao and Palawan in the Philippines.
It covers an area of 1.6 million sq km approximately and is home to about 57.5 million people. With its vast land and marine resources, a large part of which remain untapped, and in recognition of the potential of its natural resources, and in the effort to sustainably use them to address the poverty issues in this sub-region – the BIMP-EAGA Leaders recently agreed to adopt a new vision for the subregion - as the REGIONAL FOOD BASKET AND ECOTOURISM DESTINATION.
Whoa that's a lot of people!
A BIMP-EAGA SIGNATURE EVENT staging the untapped natural resources in this sub-region. Featuring a total of approximately 200 booths with exhibitors from the BIMP-EAGA, development partners – China, Japan and Australia; and others. A great opportunity for business development and networking within and outside this sub-region.
