Review: The Chocolate Lovers' Club by Carole Matthews

review the chocolate lovers' club by carole matthews

The Chocolate Lovers' Club is a book written by Carole Matthews. I took it because of the pretty book cover and the synopsis itself- involving chocolates! Now who doesn't love chocolate? =) I got it from the Library KK.

Synopsis of Chocolate Lovers' Club

The Chocolate Lovers’ Club brings together four very different women with one thing in common: they can't resist chocolate. This is an irresistible novel for anyone who wishes they were a member! Lucy Lombard can't resist it - rich, creamy, sweet, delicious chocolate. For her there's nothing it won't cure - from heartache to a headache - and she's not alone. Sharing her passion are three other addicts: Autumn, Nadia and Chantal. Together they form The Chocolate Lovers' Club. They meet in their sanctuary, Chocolate Heaven, as often as they can, and with a cheating boyfriend who promises he'll change, a flirtatious boss, a gambling husband and a loveless marriage, there's always plenty to discuss!

Del Says...

This book is full of surprises. Really, I never see that coming, just like Everything's Eventual (2002) by Stephen King. Delightful and just womanly. It's like Carole knows us women and knows about chocolate addictions very well- she studied chocolates just to write this book! =) Her knowledge of such varieties and passion for chocolate details were portrayed in this book via her four stars- Lucy, Autumn, Nadia and Chantal. This book made me ate 2 big bars of Vouchelle's! xD Friendship is also the center of the book, going through tough times together and how such strangers can instantly be your best friend.

9/10

Who'll Love This?

Anybody who's addicted to chocolates, love chocolates, loves a romantic-action-like story and most probably will be appealing to those between 20's-35's. I love the never-ending fun these four friends have!

I have another author to put in my favourite list !

Others Comments...

This is one of the best chick-lit books I've read for some time, with an interesting mix of characters and believable situations. It's both touching and funny, and is highly recommended!
The Book Club Forum
What a rich and satisfying novel about love, life and friendship, and, of course, chocolate. With one of the best breakup revenge scenes I've ever gleefully read!

Daily Activity: 30 December 2010, Thursday

Today was fun. I mean, super busy too. xD And lots of rain. =( Yes, it rained in Kota Kinabalu today, about....sometime when I got out of Suria Sabah. xD

Return Books to Library KK

First went to lunch with hun hun at Giant Kolombong, then went downtown to give back my books that I borrowed from Library KK. Finished reading Chocolate Lovers' Club by Carole Matthews and Everything's Eventual (2002) by Stephen King.

Letter of Undertaking

Then went to make copies of dad's Letter of Undertaking. Wut undertaker you say? xD It's for a construction project he's lending a licence to. And it's RM15 million, he gets some cash of course. =) The letter's like a warranty that the company whom borrowed his licence to do the project will give him the total agreed sum of money when the whole thing is done. First time I hear about it, from him, yours truly. =p

I just realized, dad is a resourceful, all-rounder man in I've ever known. He has done selling cars, land, construction projects, celcom contracts and even shipping goods for construction, furniture, palm oil- even food or animals. He has lots of contacts- I'm amazed myself.

My dear friend Sa just got back home on the 28th last Tuesday. =) She'a having her break here in KK and will be back....next year!

Britt's Life Bouncing Back On

Britt gave me a call and her voice is just so sweet! I thought an 8 year-old girl called me! xD She used her mom's number, that was why I don't know it. She told me she'll forget about chasing that boy to own up and be responsible to his fault and just be the strong woman that she'd always been. =) And she's to stay in KK from now on! Her credits from London will be transferred to Open University Malaysia. Too bad no salsa classes there. She said she feels better when she talks to me. =) We talked for nearly an hour man.

City & Guilds Beauty Therapy Cert
I'll take my certificate from the academy probably next week. Woman needs to see what time she'll be free then.

Dental Appointment

Too bad I can't get an appointment before new year. =( I only get on the 3rd, the day before my interview. Well at least I get my look right before then than none at all to impress.

Can't believe it's the day before the day before end of 2010. xD I've finally made it thru the year! Syukur alhamdulillah and may 2011 brings me more happiness and money. xD

I didn't get the time to do my resume and photos- guess I'll do it this weekend. No more outings man, 1 day of busy day is enough to set me back for a few days. xD

I think my bangs need to be trimmed now, it's getting longer! xD

Review: Claypot Yee Mee Fish at Suria Sabah

I tried a Claypot Yee Mee from Clay Pot Delight in Suria Sabah. The shop is actually the same kind from the one in City Mall's food court! =) The right one in the picture is the daughter of the tauke, talking to her employee. Pretty shocked/amused to hear me saying I wanted to take a picture of her stall for my blog. xD Like I'm a fan or something, but yes- I AM a fan of their pan mien and yee mee!

review claypot yee mee fish at from claypot delight at suria sabah kota kinabalu

Clay Pot Delight is on the left side of the Food Court, from the entrance.

Del Says...

The Claypot Yee Mee was served with a hot-to-the-touch claypot on a basket with a coaster in between. I like my mee on the top of the soup surface to be super crunchy but it wasn't. Didn't hear any cracks as I was moving my jaws up and down. I ever told them to separate the mee with the soup at City Mall, but still, the mee was limp, crunchy-free.

review claypot yee mee fish at from claypot delight at suria sabah kota kinabalu

What's Inside?

The soup has the lightest salt ever and it incorporates the flavor part from all the ingredients in it such as mushrooms of two types- shitake my favourite is one of them, chopped cabbages in thin slices, leaves of something like daun kari (tastes sweet!), a bull's eye egg and anchovies to top it off.

Taste

The soup has a healthy taste to it- not salty at all, I didn't taste the saltiness due to all of the rich veggies and my fish slices. Just nice for my tongue- and mom's. xD

review claypot yee mee fish at from claypot delight at suria sabah kota kinabalu

I ordered fish and it was plentiful in it. Like, 4-5 slices of thumb-sized fish fillets were in it. I actually finished my mee faster than the fishes! xD

Fish, Chicken, Seafood?
You can have it in any of the choices you can think of. I actually didn't see any Claypot Yee Mee Fish on the menu, they only put out chicken or seafood but they were okay to change their ways. =) So I think they have prawns too. =)

Price

RM6.80. A bit more pricey than the one in City Mall.

Rating

7/10. I suggest you have a cold drink next to you when you eat this- or any claypot-based food for that matter. It burns your tongue! xD You'll never escape it for hunger will seduce you everytime- just like me! xD

Who'll Love This?

Those who love a healthy, fulfilling meal (I suggest switching to mee hoon to reduce oil in the soup), has a fever or just love claypots! Children-friendly too, except that they're super hot at first.

Gulliver's Travels (2010) Review

Source from gugglet.com

I watched Gulliver's Travels (2010) at 1 B on Christmas Day. xD Do you know that this movie

Gulliver's Travels (2010) Sypnosis

In a modern, 3 D family comedy take on the classic tale, Jack Black (star of 'Kung Fu Panda' and 'School of Rock') is Lemuel Gulliver, a lowly malroom clerk at a New York newspaper.

After Gulliver bluffs his way into an assignment writing about the Bermuda Triangle, he goes there only to be transported to an undiscovered land, Liliput. In this fantastic new world, Gulliver is, at last, a bigger-than-life-figure -- in size and ego - especially after he starts telling tales, taking credit for his world's greatest inventions, and placing himself at the center of its most historic events. Gulliver's position is enhanced even further when he leads his new friends in a daring battle against their longtime enemies.

But when Gulliver loses it all and puts the Liliputians in peril, he must find a way to undo the damage. Ultimately, Gulliver becomes a true giant among men only when he learns that it's how big you are on the inside that counts.

Billy Connoly as King Theodore- King of Lilliput!

Del Says...

This movie has a nice, steady plot. It was understandable and not too hard to figure out, even for kids. I was disappointed that I didn't find the level of excitement that I anticipated before watching the movie. 'School of Rock' is better than this movie. If Jack Black's not in it, I doubt if anybody would laugh in the theatre.

He surely was funny, yes, I did laugh a couple of times, but not as funny as 'School of Rock', or maybe even 'Kung Fu Panda'. Sometimes I find myself laughing just because for the sake of being nice.

review gulliver's travels 2010 by jack black movie
Source from jordanhoffman.com

This movie was lack of something interesting, like Tron the Legacy, like maybe the people of Lilliput has tails or their mouths transform bigger when they eat. You know, like, hey- it's a fantasy land, a dreamland, it's the land where you can be creative and yes, there were stuff like Jack Black having the body of Wolverine (should I say Hugh Jackman?) from X-Men, Michael Jackson, the funny thing about putting out the fire from the castle with his pee, fighting the evil robot..but it was all Lemuel. What about the funny, interesting points about Lilliputians? Nada. Nothing.

Emily Blunt sure was funny- for 5 seconds when she met Lemuel. And that was it. And Horatio, he was funny when he was trying to get the princess to like him back. That was it. Billy? Let's not go there- he wasn't standing out. I don't even remember him in his role now. I have a feeling that the producer, scriptwriter- whoever, just make the movie without having a meeting on how to make it more interesting, more enticing. What a waste of money.

What I Love About this Movie

Jack Black's starring in it
Emily Blunt's in it, tho disappointed with her as well.
The whole idea of sailing to the Bermuda Triangle and got lost to an unknown place with tiny civilizations.
Scene where Lemuel fought the robot and the 'Peace Song'.

Who Would Love This?

Everybody would, but I think children will be more excited watching the movie than grown ups. So this would be in my 'Family' movie category list.

Ticket Price
RM10 per person at 1 Borneo Hypermall, Kota Kinabalu, Sunday.

Rating
6.5/10 and I won't recommend this to people and I won't suggest you to watch it in 3 D either- not worth it.

Sabah Has Fluoride Water In 2011

Sabah's public water supply will have fluoride in it next year!

Health Deputy Minister Datuk Rosnah Abd Rashid Shirlin said that the project RM2.5 million is under the 10th Malaysia Plan (10MP).

Benefits of Fluoride
Fluoride prevents tooth decay and helps in the mineralization of bones and teeth of toddlers and young children. It also promotes repair of the outer layer of tooth (Tooth Enamel) in areas that have been demineralised (dissolved) by acids.

Why Sabah Has no Flouride Water These Years?

Water fluoridation has been discontinued in 1989 by the State Government due to fearing inadequate supervision in the process of adding fluoride to the water. Dental fluorosis, an uncubrable condition in children may happen if a concentration of 1mg/L is consumed.

Sabah has the 'Worst Dental Health Scenario' compared to the rest of Malaysia, according to the Dental Health Survey of School Children in Sabah 1985. Disontinuation of the fluoride water in 1989 added more tragedies since then.

This is a good thing I see here, then we'd have lesser tooth decays and the dental clinics would earn lesser- too bad! xD

Rihanna and Avril Lavigne New Party Song- Cheers

Rihanna will be featuring a new drinking anthem based from Avril Lavgine's 2002 hit song, 'I'm With You' named 'Cheers (Drink to That)'. It's a clubbing type of song, of course, that's what our favourite Barbados-singer is famous for. =)

rihanna avril lavigne new party song cheers from i'm with you 2010

Avril Says...

"It was really exciting because 'I'm With You' is one of my favorite songs that I've done, I always love performing it," she admitted. "And I think Rihanna's awesome, she has great songs, she's a really great singer, so yeah I was excited. I think it's really cool."

Rihanna Says...

"I love that song," she told MTV News interviewer. "That is one of my favorite songs on the album. It makes you feel like celebrating. It gives you a great feeling inside like you want to go out and have a drink. ... People can't wait for the weekend."

I'm excited about this new song! I certainly have no idea how to convert a love song to a party song, so I'm very very excited! Anticipating so very much.

Another Celebration...

Avril has another thing to celebrate this end of year 2010. She'll be unveiling her brand new single 'What the Hell' during "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve" special. She describes it as "more pop and uptempo and kind of reminiscent of my old stuff."

She also will be releasing her new album 'Goodbye Lullaby' on 8 March 2011, saying it is "more stripped and raw and a little deeper."

Review: Everything's Eventual (2002) by Stephen King

I definitely have another favourite author now besides Shirley Jump, Enid Blyton and Lisa Jewell. It's Stephen King! I know he's a big hit in the US and I most definitely have experienced the Stephen King experience! I read his 2002 book, Everything's Eventual. I borrowed it from KK Library. =)

review everything's eventual 2002 by stephen king

I chose to read it because I've heard his name several times as a reputable, famous author. His writing, his stories, are all either horror, thriller, based on a true story/ legend, whichever suits you. This book is a compilation of short stories and was brilliantly expressed using his own words.

Introduction

The first collection of stories Stephen King has published since Nightmares & Dreamscapes nine years ago, Everything's Eventual includes one O. Henry Prize winner, two other award winners, four stories published by The New Yorker, and "Riding the Bullet," King's original e-book, which attracted over half a million online readers and became the most famous short story of the decade. "Riding the Bullet," published here on paper for the first time, is the story of Alan Parker, who's hitchhiking to see his dying mother but takes the wrong ride, farther than he ever intended.

In "Lunch at the Gotham Cafe," a sparring couple's contentious lunch turns very, very bloody when the maitre d' gets out of sorts. "1408," the audio story in print for the first time, is about a successful writer whose specialty is "Ten Nights in Ten Haunted Graveyards" or "Ten Nights in Ten Haunted Houses," and though Room 1408 at the Dolphin Hotel doesn't kill him, he won't be writing about ghosts anymore.

And in "That Feeling, You Can Only Say What It Is in French," terror is deja vu at 16,000 feet. Whether writing about encounters with the dead, the near dead, or about the mundane dreads of life, from quitting smoking to yard sales, Stephen King is at the top of his form in the fourteen dark tales assembled in Everything's Eventual. Intense, eerie, and instantly compelling, they announce the stunningly fertile imagination of perhaps the greatest storyteller of our time.

Del Says...

This story, as I progressed towards the end of it realized that each short story that was written in it all linked to the title, "Everything's Eventual". It's amazing how he could think such amazing story and gets it within that hard-to-figure scope of idea.

I still remember one phrase he quoted in one of his story;

I want your heart. If you want to learn something, go to school.

Or something like that, but I definitely remember the first part- I want your heart. And yes, he definitely had my heart in his hands, still beating fast from all his work terrorizing me. xD

He has such an incredible set of mind to think of the unthinkable and believe me, I didn't see that coming! I never thought of such insanity, such terror, such imagination existed.

Who'd Love This

This book's definitely not for those who still play barbie or batman figurines. There are 18 and above type of phrases in some stories, but not loaded with sex-all-the-way laaa..xD If you're into for serious horror-thriller kind of thing, this book is for you.

Other Comments...

Jap: I've read this. I'm from Philippines. I think Riding the Bullet and Man in the Black Suit are the best. The Lunch at the Gotham Cafe and That Feeling - You Can Only Say it in French is also scary.

Elmo: The first read this wonderful short stories. ever! Among them, The Death of Jack Hamilton, and All That You Love Will Be Carried Away.. I really thought that was the best.

Heiz MacAiran: oH my! LUNCH AT GOTHAM CAFE is just the thing im lookin for! a nutty Maiter D' from Hell with his huge and sharp butcher knife out to slice and dice the restaurant's guests! bwaaanhahahha! Awesome! i love this book from the catchy yet discreetly goric cover- to the smart title- to the juicy contents. 1408 gave me the chills more than it did to me with the movie version with John Cussack. RIDING THE BULLET scared me yet pinched my heart more than it did to me with the movie version with Jonathan Jackson. i just finished THAT FEELING YOU CAN ONLY SAY WHAT IT IS IN FRENCH...still reading on the next shorties and i just cant put the book down.

Reb’l Fleur Smells

The fragrance is an intense and daring fruity chypre, composed of sophisticated floral notes: tuberose, violet and hibiscus, – with a splash of coconut water, – over the light and smooth base, the combination of the final notes evokes the impression of warm skin.

“Daring, sexy and truly memorable, Reb’l Fleur is as much in tune with Barbados-born Rihanna’s roots as it is with the glamour of her present life in New York City.”

This 'Flower Rebel' will be launched in 2011 next year. Wait for it! =)

Umno KDM Task Force Malaysia is organizing a Sabah Football Open Championship next year January 2011 and guess how much the prizes are worth? Up to RM30,000 baby!

"This would be the first such tournament organised by Umno KDM Task Force and it is aimed at attracting and encouraging youths to get involved in sports," he said.

I think it's great they're having this type of championship to promote better activities for youth nowadays to do. Paris Hilton Adopts a New Dog!

I feared she'll get the same type of dog- Chihuahua. And yes, turned out she did get the same type of breed!

Story

Paris went back to Los Angeles, New York last Friday to serve some 200 hours community service as ordered by the court for her conviction of possessing cocaine. She asked to serve her time at The Animal Foundation and got herself a new pooch! His name was Skeet, a 3 year-old chihuahua and got his name turned to Sid Vicious by Paris after adoption. xD

paris hilton adopt new dog sid vicious

Different Paris

Paris was different type of person at the animal center. She asked for no special treatments or favors. She cleaned up after the dogs and carried their pooper-scooper droppings- on her knees! She ditched her stilettos for sneakers and the director of The Animal Foundation is certainly pleased with her presence at the centre.

“We were thrilled. We are so excited that Paris decided to perform some of her 200 hours of community service with our shelter,” said Andy Bischel, director of development at The Animal Foundation. “She loves animals, and after she toured our facility and learned about some of the shocking animal statistics, she was inspired and motivated to help make a difference. She had tears in her eyes”

“With such stars as Paris and Holly Madison backing our mission and supporting our programs, we have an amazing opportunity to save unwanted animals and reduce their numbers.”

It looks like Paris is turning over a new leaf, hopefully. I think we here, in Sabah, should do the same for animals. Why buy pets when you can easily adopt one and reduce one less number of sick and needy pets?

Why Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds Split?

reason scarlett johansson divorce ryan reynolds

Last Spring at the set of a comic book flick- Green Lantern, Ryan Reynolds opened up about his failed marriage with Scarlett Johansson- the reason they divorced.

Why?

An insider told US Weekly that the 34 year-old hunky star, was "open on set that he and Scarlett [Johansson] were having problems." This is interesting. They're like ducks- calm on the surface and paddle like mad with their feet below.

Scarlett, whose married to Ryan for just half a year time, Reynolds "would say that she treated him badly," the insider explained. "It never seemed like she made him a priority." What a shame..pity for the marriage itself too. They're like the perfect couple.

Reynolds is now "beyond sad and depressed," another pal says. Poor him, he must've love her so much and certainly looks like he's the victim here.

The Iron Man actress on the other hand, is less broken up about the situation. "She was disconnected and disaffected" about the split, the source says. "It was harsh."

Can't believe Scarlett's a bad woman. No, bad in having a relationship type of woman. She's a good actress nonetheless. Aaahh Ryan...I feel you, and you're still young and I'm sure you deserve a better woman now.

Maybe?

Can it be due to Johnny Depp? So is it true Scarlett's now with Johnny Depp? Oh lord Scarlett...

Shania Twain Getting Married in a Complicated Story

Shania Twain is now engaged! The coutry superstar, 45, is now going to be married to her boyfriend Frederic Thiebaud, 40.

shania twain engaged to boyfriend frederic thiebaud 2010

"I've never seen Shania so happy," a pal told US.

Shania's fiance is a Swiss-born Nestle business executive. He asked the question about two months ago in Switzerland.

Complicated?

Turns out that Frederic is an ex-husband of Shania's ex-best friend, Marie-Anne Thiebaud. Youch. Guess the 'ex' salutation means they don't see each other anymore.

Here's another twisted twist. Robert "Mutt" Lange, Shania's ex-husband whom married Twain for 14 years, left her for Marie-Anne. Holy cow....serious swapping going on here. xD

Shania Twain Says...

In her website, she wrote that Frederic is "a dear friend and true gentleman...We leaned on one another through the ups and downs, taking turns holding each other up. We've become stronger and closer through it all."

Awwww...

Her friend adds, "She has ended up with the love of her life."

Well, as long as everybody's happy with it, I guess it's a congratulations to you Shania! =)

Sabah Have World's Highest Marine Biodiversity

I feel just..so proud of Sabah when I read this- Semporna, a town located in the east coast of Sabah may have the highest marine diversity in the world. I repeat, in capital letters, IN THE WORLD!!! Top #1! Well actually might be top #1, but this maybe-yes-maybe-not statement is just enough to make me even more proud to say I'm a Sabahan.

world highest marine biodiversity in semporna by semporna marine ecological expediction smee 2010
Image from blog.ncbnaturalis.nl

The Story

There were 18 scientists from various countries such as yours truly, Malaysia, Netherlands and United States of America (USA) who have spent 3 weeks in the Semporna Marine Ecological Expedition (SMEE) 2010 project, examining the reefs of Semporna and documenting the richness of mushroom corals, reef fish, shrimps, gall crabs, ovulid snails and algae. They were the ones who concluded that Semporna may have the highest marine diversity in the world!

Scientists Said...

In a press conference, Dr. Bert Hoeksema, Department Head of marine Zoology in the Netherlands Centre for Biodiversity (NCB) Naturalis (main sponsor of the project) said that they found 43 species of mushroom corals- the highest number since the record of 40 corals in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.

world highest marine biodiversity in semporna by semporna marine ecological expediction smee 2010
Image from malaysia.com

They also found a total of 844 species of fish, over 90 species of coral shrimp and over 100 species of algae at 62 surrounding sites.

New Species Found

The team discovered a couple of gall crab and coral shrimp species that were new to science and a rare mushroom coral species, named lithophyllon ranjithi. Sounds like Indian eyh? xD

Bad Discovery

Only 5% of the live coral were in excellent preservation while 23% had good cover and astounding 36% (I try not to over-exaggerate here) fair cover and 36% in adverse health. Holy man!

"We saw nets, traps, lines, craters in the coral reefs from blasting, unexploded detonators", Dr Bert told.

He pointed out that for an urgent action before over-fishing, fish bombings and pollution that is destroying the haven for the rich marine life. He also suggested to promote diving tourism, which is what the area is famous for.

I hope something is being done right now as I type. This is our hope to attract more tourist to Sabah for crying out loud! We all too, as the public, should co-operate to love our seashores more. Avoid spilling oil for example. =)

Click 'Save'.

Do let me know if this works. =)

And thank you Blogger Buster! Oh and mind you, this widget will slow down your blog a little and with me having a nice slider on top, it kinda slowed down a bit and doesn't look nice. I think I'll have the snow on Christmas Day. =)

KK Market (Pasar KK) May Close Down

The Kota Kinabalu Central Market here is going to close down if the local council is still not paying attention to their pleas.

The Story

Traders said that concrete chunks are falling off from the ceiling above and there's nothing that they can do.

"It is not a big job, but it will be dangerous if ignored. Pieces of concrete are falling off the ceiling and could end up dropping on people's head. It is happening all over the market," said a trader who pointed to patches of fungus and dirty stains on the walls of the old walls.

kk market may close down in kota kinabalu sabah 2010

He also said that there are rats everywhere and it was claimed dirty and unsafe;

"This market was built in the mid-70s and nothing has been done to maintain it. The drains are not properly covered and big rats are easily getting in and out.

kk market may close down in kota kinabalu sabah 2010

"There is lack of lighting and fans in the market and the overhead pipes are leaking."

Kota Kinabalu MP Hiew King Cheu Agrees

Kota Kinabalu MP Hiew King Cheu also agreed to it and said that the building needs to be upgraded and repainted.

Another one here by Hiew, whom quoted from Hawkers Association chairman, Johnny Fung stated that there are less tourist coming and that the illegals are openly selling their goods in the market as well and cutting out those who paid monthly to DBKK RM90.

"Hawkers are facing a tough time with illegals. The first floor stalls where they sell clothes, shoes, handbags and other items are faced with really bad business turnovers. Sometimes they can’t even sell a pair of trousers in a day.

"But they still have to pay rental of RM90 per month to DBKK (Dewan Bandar Kota Kinabalu), and some have to use and pay for two cubicles to store their goods.

"Their businesses are at a loss and it is getting harder to survive. They said they don’t know what will come next."

I Say

I totally agree with them. That place is super filthy and I doubt if any tourist will even think of going there when they see it from afar. I myself eeww in disgust several times everytime I go there to get mom's jagung bakar or to get some fresh vegetables. The corridor or walkways itself needs implants on it to smoothen out the surface again. Let's leave out the buildings that have fishes and meat, it's worse than the dry ones. If the place's pretty, I 100% sure more people would go there, especially me. I rather go to the wet market to buy fresh stuff for cooking than to the groceries.

Review: Tron: Legacy (2010) at Suria Sabah

Last Sunday I went to see Tron: Legacy (2010) at Suria Sabah. Do you know that it's the #1 movie in America? I never knew! And it is actually as sequel to Tron 1982! They show it in 3 D as well now.

Tron: Legacy History and Story

All TRON movies and stories take place in a digital world where computer prograns- of any type- often take on behavior and characteristics of people. The world is filled with code that drives the actions of programs and defines all the rules and objects, like high-tech vehicles, landscapes and architecture where programs live and work up to, and sometimes beyond, their programming.

Image from filmofilia.com

There have veen two digital realms. The first was created within Encom's mainframe where, in 1982, Kevin Flynn found himself after being digitized by a laser when the Master Control Program sensed his intrusion. In this world, programs physically looked like their users, or those who created them. While programs had specific functions, like accounting or security, they had the freedom to do their jobs in their own way. The Master Control Program stifled this system and instead of doing their functions, programs were often sent to the Game Grid. After Flynn and his allies removed the tyranny and corruption of the Master Control Program, the system flourished.

Based on all he'd learned in the first digital world, Kevin Flynn built a second, improved realm he called the "TRON System" that was designed to develop and evolve far beyond the first. By perfecting digitization with a laser, and housing the new Grid on servers in the basement of his arcade, Flynn could enter and leave as often as he liked to foster and research his system. It was a brand new world capable of flourishing in unimaginable and astounding ways. And it did.

With a wife, and them Sam, his son, Flynn found it harder and harder to make time for work and family- though he made it clear that he was onto something that would change the world. Then, one night in 1989, Flynn left for work and never came home. It was after he promised Sam that he'd take him to visit the Grid and see his amazing creation.

While over two decades have passed in the real world, over 1000 years have passed in the TRON one. As one might expect, the passing of a so many cycles has allowed for innumerous events and historic moments. And now some of those stories will be told.

This movie rocks!! It's the best movie of the year! Full of surprise, delightful technology ideas that I've never seen and awesome computer work! You might think it's a boring one, just like my mom, xD but you've got to see it! It'll change your lives, believe me. Oh and it's safe for underages to watch. It's Walt's Disney man! =)

I hope they make a sequel to this one, I'd love to see what happens next, and more of TRON! Please oh please Disney!

What I Love

The cool motor ride! Boy it looks so modern and the-future type of vehicle. And it doesn't star up like the normal ride these days. Watch the movie to find out! Cool cool cool!

Totally 9/10!!
