Nail Art Malaysia 2009, The Ultimate Nail Art Competition
There's going to be a nail art competition on 11th October 2009 (Sunday), at PWTC Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Nail Art Malaysia 2009 encompasses the vision to create a brand neutral competition platform where nail technicians challenge themselves in the international arena to sharpen their skills and gain recognition in developing a respectable career as professional nail technicians.

Everyone goes home as a winner. Each contestant will get a certificate, fabulous sponsored product prizes, valuable contacts and experiences that can help shape and strengthen careers. So, don't miss this golden opportunity to display your skills!

Here's the process for participation:
  • Completed Registration Form
  • Copy of Identity Card
  • Copy of Student Card, letter or certificate from academy
  • RM60 registration fee (Student/Amateur category) or RM100 registration fee (Open category)

So there's 2 categories, student/amateur or open category!

Here's the themes and techniques/ tools for each category. It's a halloween theme for the amateurs and it's a Hand Painted Nail Art (Tips). Not sure what this means but I think you paint at the tips of the fingers only or the whole nail you can paint. Gee this is so fun!

As for the open category, the theme is Floral Blossom (if you don't have a really soft and flexible hand, don't join this one as you need to draw while controllig your pressure on the brush and it has to be nice!) and it's Design Sculpture (Acrylic, Inlay). This is better! Make flowers with the acrylics! Omg! I wana see the results oh..
The prizes are based on categories. The first prize for Student category is RM1,500 to Rm500 for 3rd place. Open category's first winner will get RM2,500 and 3rd place will get RM1,000. There's The Most Creative Award and The Star Educator Award too! Winners will get certificates, trophies and sponsored prizes too!

The competition for each category starts at different time of the day. You can look the program here.

And of course, the rules. Here you can know if you're fit into the Student category or Open Category and best of all, it's open for everybody in the whole wide world!

Shine on,
Del
